IVAC's Mission
IVAC's mission is to help victims of criminal offences gain access to the financial assistance to which they are entitled, in order to help them recover and get on with their lives.
IVAC's services include:

a financial assistance during the period in which the person is unable to work or engage in most of his or her usual activities

a lump sum for permanent after-effects to compensate for the damage caused by the criminal offence

a lump sum in the event of death (LAPVIC), paid to:

to the parents of a deceased minor or adult victim

to the parents of a deceased minor or adult caregiver or of a deceased minor or adult caregiver
-
to the spouse, children and dependents of the deceased victim, caregiver or rescuer
-
a reimbursement of medical assistance expenses

a financial assistance for physical rehabilitation
-
a financial assistance for psychotherapeutic or psychosocial rehabilitation
-
a financial assistance for social reintegration
-
a financial assistance for professional reintegration
In addition, financial aid under the program can be obtained immediately when IVAC is informed of the urgency of the need and certain conditions are met.
